I have a list of things I need to come up with before the visa interview and just did a medical examination, but still need to do an exray of my heart and lunghs and get Scott's taxs in mail. And trying to be patient with the whole thing since i have no idea when my interview will be, or when my wedding date is. It's been almost a year since Scott proposed to me... yeah that long! So feel free to pray for the visa and our patience. It's amazing what you need to do in order to get married. But then at the same time i understand that there's lots of people who are taking an advantage of that :( That is just sad, but still wish I could just finally pretty please get married to the love of my life.

And at the same time i am trying to find a new extra morning job. For some reason weddings cost quite a bit of money :( Which reminds me i need to check the lottery numbers they picked today :)

States!!!

Enjoying Starbucks, being with Scott and friends and all the rest States has. It is in some way. What happens when you are very much non gifted for anything? You look through all websites... and then ... on top of it all have a hard time even deciding what you want.

So far the wedding colors are the theme of my wedding dress: WHITE and APPLE RED.

I need to get favors in those colors, invitations (and figure out who do I want at my wedding too. It's hard when relationships change so much in just few years), flowers, not to mention I have no idea how the whole reception should even look like. It prolly really doesn't help that I only been at three weddings in my whole life. Not to mention I need to figure out how do I want to decorate the church and the reception place etc. And it looks like ... wedding will be in the winter. But at this point I stopped caring when the wedding will be as long as there'll be one. Having to wait for visa seems like it'll take few more years (even though it'll only be few months... looong months!)

Who came up with visa?

I haven't posted in a LONG time. And that's ok cuz there's NOTHING NEW. I bet I'd get a winning prize for the most boring life. I wake up in the morning, go to work, come home and go to bed. That's really about it with occasional coffee here and there and running to the church when I am not dead tired and over sleep it (at home of course after all week + weekend of work).

Looks like my fiance visa papers (well Scott's papers and 2 mine papers) are sitting on someone's desk, at the very end of the pile. It's been about a month since Scott sent everything to GA... from there they sent it to CA... and now it's there... sitting and waiting. We don't even have the file number yet to check it's progress up online :( Few that are online (waiting for a fiance visa) have 5 more months to go. 5 MORE MONTHS! And that means that someone already started working on it. So... hopefully in half a year (or up to 7 or 8 months) I will get my visa and I can get married!

Who came up with idea of visas anyway? And who made it so complicated?? And so long? So since this might take a very long time we figured out one of us will have to do a trip cuz we can't not see each other for a year.

In other news is also, that I am gonna be looking for a full time job again... and since I never finished the preschool school I'll be back in the store working field for few months BLAH :( Seems like I am in a never ending circle.

Meanwhile I am trying to figure out what to do for a wedding, who to invite, who even wants to come to the wedding etc. Hopefully I get everything figured out slowly so there'll be no rush before the wedding itself!

Test

So have you ever tested what'd happen if you wouldn't leave your seat after church and wait there to see who'd come to you to talk to you...

The result is no one. I can feel the static electricity in the air! I can tell it's super intense in the Spiritual world but I have a feeling of REJOICING IN THE AIR TOO! I'm just SOOOOOOOO EXCITED to see what God will do! Cuz I feel like there's already been a victory in Ptuj even though I don't know anything about it yet! But I can feel it! So this whole week has been just so intense but yet very exciting! Anyhow, pray! Pray also that Lj even will get sold out as well cuz that one is still half way empty! And people really can't miss that out!!

With other exciting news is also that I ordered my wedding dress online (really the only one that seemed IT and i've been looking around for a while) and I saw an idea for home made invitations and saw the perfect pair of shoes to go with the dress!!! Wish there wasnt't still so much more to do!!! But hey at least i got some pretty important stuff down! :D

being ENGAGED!!

...Finally!... as many people would say haha. I am ok with that :D I am all back in Slo again and in one piece with an engagement ring :) There's really not much to say about it, especially cuz it's a LONG story. Plus you'd have to hear Scott's version of it two (well Scott's perspective on it) So I might post that with the pictures that will have to follow later sometime. I have my pics still on my camera cuz I don't feel like putting them on my computer. That'd require me getting up finding the USB cord for my camera uploading pics on my computer and posting them. But will get there as soon as I get over this jet lag which is almost gone but my body would still be feeling very tired and has trouble sleeping at the "right times" for Slovenia. There for I feel like I am lacking a lot of energy. I feel like I am dragging myself from day to day like a mop or a damped cloth. I think I still have to get back in my Slovenia life schedule after 2 weeks of a completely different schedule and two days of long flights and different culture(s). Who would've thought that would take you so much energy and you'd need to restart yourself?! So this week is kinda like figuring out "ok I am back in Slovenia, what again am i doing?" With other words it's hard to get back in swing with all the happenings but I will get there eventually! Now I should go get ready for work. Feels weird to be back at work. Not much has changed but it seems as something did. Oh well... will keep blogging about this :) And try to start FEELING better.

45min left

Scott's off of work in 45min. Long 45min haha

I am sitting by Starbucks by his office, that just happens to be right by a grocery store. And since I had time I went in there to hang out and look through things :d I got few things like snack and chewing gums.It was nice to be able to do that myself and not need to drag someone else in it :D

Today we're going to the Spokane Valley Mall which is pretty exciting since I haven't get to go to it yet! Tomorrow should be an interesting day :D We are going to the Polka Dot Pottery :D:D:D:D And then Scott's taking me out for ... dinner I assume? He doesn't wanna tell me what we are doing.

Last night I got to make some slovene food (not really just something we eat at my house) and a yummy big salad and home made raspberry / strawberry lemonade :D It was good and then we played a game :D

The Shawens have fun two new dogs and are SOO CUTE! Big but so cute! :D And they love to be pet! Sadie is a lot like the Jacksons dog :D

Also on Sunday I get to go to a COSCO! Amazing :D So I'll get all the candy and other stuff there :D Should be fun! That's what's new for today. I went walking with Rach's mom and her friends had lunch with Scott and then we'll hang out after work too :D Not sure yet what we'll do :D That's it for now.

Hello from USA!!

It's a day... no. 5 I believe and boy does the time fly by fast!!! Right now I am sitting in Starbucks in the Liberty Lake, WA. A 3min walk from Scott's work and using his laptop while I wait for him to be done with work in about 45minutes! 2hours and some all together of Starbucks. But it's good. I nearly freaked out at the very beginning cuz internet didn't wanna work :( But then it did work.
This time I think I am experiencing more cultural difference. And at the same time I am more comfortable with people. Weird situation. I guess I still need to learn how things work. That they ask you 100 questions everytime you wanna pay for your things at the cash register. From getting your email/telephone stuff. Funny. Not sure if I like that. It's just weird I guess but that's what they do. Oh well. Thankfully I always have someone with me to answer this for me. :) "oh she's not from here, you don't need her ....... but you can have mine if it's needed".

Yesterday it was Scott's bday so his mom took us to Olive Garden! :D I had raviolli di portobello. I can't say portobello with american accent. It was funny. Even the waiter commented that hahaha. It was so funny. He was like oh wow with a real accent hahaha. Then Scott's mom told him I'm visiting from Europe. They did want me to just order in Italian. That'd be hilarious! So that was really fun. We also had ice cream cake Scott's mom made. But after lots of yummy salad and bread sticks and ravioli there really wasn't much space for the cake. It also end up on my jeans (saved the couch!) Smart me I just got 1 pair of jeans and one no so favorite pair of pants. So... here comes OLD NAVY. I got few pairs of jeans, and walked out after 5 minutes! Can you believe that???! I NEVER buy jeans so fast. So therefore I bought 2 of them. It cost me about $65 but then again, that's not even 50 euros!!! WOO HOO!!!

Today I am making dinner for the Shawens! Chicken stripes with pasta in a mushroom/ cream sauce :D And a SLOVENE salad! And home made raspberry lemonade :) YUM!

I should get going here. But so far I am enjoying my time! I am house sitting with Rach this coming weekend and I had spend all day at her preschool :D It was fun! I love nursery. They have two 8 month old babies. Avery and Bryce. Avery is such a sweet little girl! SOOO CUTE!

... 8/9 more days!!!

And if that won't pass by fast I just might go insane! Good thing is that I am working Sat most of the day and Sundays are a nightmare for me being home like 30min in the whole day anyway. This time I am meeting with two old friends with which I spend all my childhood... from preschool till the end of junior high years. (where was EDZ back then??!) should be interesting!

Anyhow, I got to "speak" to Scott exactly 15min today. And by speaking I mean typing ( Skype) while he was at his lunch break. For 15minutes. ;( Seriously today I feel like I just might explode. Or just die.The time is going NO WHERE!I feel ready but then again with all the packing, all the people's orders, all the papers you have to have with you (printed e-tickets, insurance papers, important numbers, home addresses) that part I wish I could skip. And that you wouldn't need soooooooooooo many hours of traveling. Oh well. I get to spend 2 weeks with my boyfriend, 2 good friends and lots of fun people! I can survive, I can survive, I can survive...

Off to go read my Bible and Pray! At the store that I am working at there's ALWAYS something going on... and goes bad. Like a huge pouring down water from a ceiling above our storage room in the back of the store. A foggy air and weird smell. Lots of weird smells of something burning. Light acting up. Phones acting up. Computers acing up. But mostly there's stuff coming off the ceiling like water (or oil, thank you Chinese restaurant or some restaurant I dunno which one) and funny weird smells. All that helped to train my nose! And that came handy today/last night as I woke up at 3am smelling a funny smell of some plastic burning or a wire burning. Something burning. So I jumped off bed pretty much turned all the lights on that i got to hit on way downstairs following my nose. It surely wasn't coming from the attic since it's just our bedrooms. Grandma's floor. Didn't seem like it's coming from there... So I am moving to the first floor and the smell is getting stronger on the hall. Kitchen and living room are smell less but the pantry doors are closed - BINGO! Awful smell of something burning so i naturally thought it must be something wrong with our freezer. So I ran upstairs and woke up mom to find out our central heating is acting up. Not good since we have it on oil. Burning oil. Mom said it's prolly just something wrong with the heater and that she opened the window and closed everything and it should be fine. Later she found out that the hose (i dunno what to call it) that's connecting the central heating and chimney slid off and the smoke wasn't going out the chimney as it supposed to but it was stuck in the room (and cuz of the open window you couldn't see the smoke). So mystery salved. And no one died of corbon monoxide! YAY!

... rest

My nose, chest and cough are FINNALY getting a bit better!! :) I can sleep during the night and only cough and sneez a little bit during the day.

My mom has this "recipe" that it's a well known for helping you with cough and cold. I call it a caramel sage milk. You take a table spoon or so of sugar and melt it as soon as it melts you pour over milk (about a cup) and stir till the caramel melts. As it starts to boil you put in 1/2 of first of dried sage for few seconds (lets say 20) and that's it. You leave it stand and soak for about 5min. And then use a colander to get rid of dry sage and pour it in your cup! WARNING: it's very sweet! (my mom used a little too much sugar and boy my stomach started to hurt!)

So yeah that's a recipe for a cough remedy. The sage might not the super tasty but if it's extra sweet you'll get the kid to drink it. Some people use honey instead of caramel but I haven't tried that yet. Mom says it doesn't taste as well. Ok.

Today I get to rest. I gotsome hang out time with my good friends. Has good tea. Watched a funny show! :)

Now I am at grandparents for a relaxing afternoon. I got my Bible, I got my journal, I got my Piper's book (seeing and savoring Jesus Christ... like it lots) and of course my Bible. It's so funny seeing new things every time you read something after a while. I am doing Luke with the Sunday School and really I haven't read Luke in a loong time. (that's the problem of Bible it has too many books to choose from). And it's good. I am taking is slow. Reading slow. Picturing Jesus and disciples.

Also I have been a little anti-social. I've missed church and College group too many times (thank you sickness and other things that came up), I've missed hanging out with some other friends but oh well there are times when you're just a bit more busy than regular 24 year olds. Working 40+ hours really takes away some time and energy. And need of being with people.

Lately I've been realizng I am having a hard time with being myself. YES I AM EXTEEMLY BORING PERSON. Ursa and I will start a young retiredments club (and go to Portland... IA! well maybe not but you should see the link to the Portlandia part of Dream of the 90s! So funny!). I don't like extreems. I don't like being too loud. I don't like being sassy (read too sassy), too adventuress, upredictable and the list goes on. It's just NOT in my nature. So yeah I am boring in a way. But I like it that way. Not that I don't wanna go explore... name a city one day, just maybe not tomorrow. Maybe I am just growing up haha. Trying to save up money for something else that really is a bit more important. And it's weird cuz there's a lot of people that I know that are in a completey different life stages. Some relavently similar. And others not even close. But that's ok. It's just annoying cuz you turn out like a weirdo when in their company. Life.

"bed bound"

Well more like home bound. I got sick this weekend and I hate it! I hate hate hate the cold. The worst kind of sickness you can get! Cuz you feel "ok" enough to do like watching tv, playing short game, blogging, reading etc. But you have to rest! You have to be less active. You have to be still. So I guess God has his own ways of showing you that you need rest. He sends you ugly yucky cold. No work for today or tomorrow no church or college group. Just home with lots of tea, lemons, honey, cough syrup, aspirin C and handkerchiefs (lots of it... I think I had used about 50 or em at least in the past 24 hours).

So here I am bored, sneezing and coughing. Not really sure what should I do with myself since all my plans have gone down the drain. So I have couple of books to read. I got a book from Christina (last year!!) and I still didn't have time to pick it up and read it. It has only about 120 pages so it should be a fast read. (so funny how sometimes 100 pages seems so much. Yet with books that you need to read for school even 20 pages seems lot) while the books you read in your free time usually don't have less than 200 or 300 pages :)

With not being busy i've been just missing Scott way much more :( Feb 26th just can't come soon enough (well the 27th since I will be in Tacoma for the night and half the day). It's gonna be SOOOO MUCH FUN! And seriously can't wait to go!

Well I better should go make some tea and get a new stock of handkerchiefs! Grrrr COLD!

It's 2011!

Time flies. Just not quite when you want to. And when it does, we complain. And when it doesn't we also complain. Wonder how does it feel to live in timeless place. Like Heaven. How weird it'll be not to know what time it is. Not to go to bed when it's dark. It's kinda scary to think of it since we have no idea how it'll look like.

The 2011 started off with business. Lots of work hours. All the school stuff that has been piling up while I was working. And I better kick off this year with studying. I have about 2 months of time to do lots of studying and about 5 exams. The good news is that I'll have more time to do studying since my work hours will be limited to 20 hours a week and I'll get more school work done. But at the same time that means I will have lots less money :( With the trip to the US I better save all my paychecks and spend only and only for my phone, bus and health insurance bills. And after i'll be all done with school and US trip I can work more again. I might be working lots of hours but the paycheck isn't to great. Oh well.

And I bought tickets to WA right before the New Years. So that's exciting! :D I am leaving Feb 26th and will be back March 13th! And I can't wait to spend some time with Scott and Rach and her family and the Chavez family and see Jessa and Bjorn! It's going to be sooo fun! Now I just need to figure out this school stuff at least most of it before I leave :( oh well.

Nothing too Profound

I've been kinda sick for the past two days. Kinda nice but then again not really. It has been nice to sleep in and stay in bed when everyone else is running around. Nice to watch some TV. To spend some time cooking burittos with friends and making cookies with grandma. Watching Monday's epizode of Chuck. And not working. Now the down side of that is lots of sneezing, weird werid weird head ache(something between headache and a feeling of lots of intense pressure in your head) and a hot head (i didn't feel like measuring my temperature, but since that was usually in the morning and evening it could've been a fever. And then menstrual cramps. A good reason to stay in bed. Or infront of tv. Or computer. But I think very soon I'll get to work twice more for these 2 days off. I got a phone call from a girl whom I met way back when I was working at New Yorker (yeah that one month I've been working there) she is now a store manager in a small store at mall and she needs help (my guessing someone got sick) while I'll be also working at the shoe store. So yeah that's two jobs. In one week. I might earn and save additional 100 euros which is not bad at all. But i might die at the same time. We'll see how will that work out.

On a brighter note, Scott got a job :D And we get to talk only an hour a day during week :( (not so bright side of that note). It's nice to be able to go to bed early, but really i'd rather talk to him then get a good night of sleep :(( Not so great right? I think I will be flying out there to see him in March since it doesn't look like he'll be able to be here for New Years. And I don't like New Years without him... it's just so weird and not right.

Also I am again reading the Confessions of St. Augustine. A nice reading. Just I don't like to read a whole lot. The days of me reading 22 books in less than a month period are obviously gone (thank you high school), but I am trying to read. I even thought of maybe listening to the Bible since reading is just ugh lately for me. It helps me if Scott and I are reading together so i have someone who pushes me to read daily.

What do you think of chainging my blog background? I hate that it takes Him so long to answer your prayers. Cuz praying for same for very specific thing makes me feel like I'm begging Him and making Him do something... ever had a feeling like that? I don't like begging. So, anyway, after months of looking for a job God finally provided a nice job for Scott! Figuring so many things. Figuring out what work would be the best for you and your pocket (after all we work to earn money so we can survive through months and years). Not to mention just the process of job hunt! Days and days of applications, days and days of waiting. Lots of interviews, and more waiting. I'm glad I'm not really going through this job hunt nightmare right now but Scott is, so passively I am too. Stomach wrenching. While Scott is on a job hunt I am working at a shoe store. And fighting with my parents. Not quite but having two different ideas and desires and points of view and a whole map planned out - messes out your already planned map. And you need a day or two of thinking. Figuring out how the life would look like going right instead of left. Pros and cons. Hard goodbyes and hard new beginnings. The hard part would be facing the manager with a leave(again) while they are 100% sure you will be there for next few months. So nothing is figured out yet. All in clouds of what if I am going right or what if I a going left dreaming, picturing. Figuring out if bribing people with baked goodies to like you better(read accepting you) is ok?! And praying what life and God have in store for you. This month, the coming year. And how to make a right and good decision. How to get your heart ready for the storm to come (storm in good kinda way, like a storm of new waves to tackle). Ah life of grown ups requires a lots of wisdom. That you can't really get with a diploma. Or can you?

Ok I am done with blogging. Prayer(s) needed. Dot or Pika as you know who would say. :)

I have NO social life

I already had to turn down two invitations for this week cuz I am working afternoon this week. I've been busy working for the past few weeks and just got few days off! So I got some much needed sleep (went to bed at like 2am and got up at almost 11am!) and now I am in the process of getting Sunday School lessons ready. This year I have lots of activities ready but not so sure about the Bible reading/topics. I've been thinking about NT but I also really like what topics like obedience, loving other people, loving God, prayer, forgiveness and so on. Ah so much to do so little time. So many great ideas so little time again. And planning lessons takes quite some time. And thinking. And praying. And wisdom.

Also, the past few days me knees have been feeling kinda weird. As if there was this funny ticklish feeling in side of them and I am afraid I damaged my knees somehow. Not sure how since I haven't really been jogging a whole lot even though I planned it. The other option might be wrong working shoes while I am working. So I need to put a "hunt for a doctor" on my longer and longer list of things to do. It's one of those things you know it'll take forever to do so you're keep putting off. So I have been on a search for a doctor since March I think :S And eventually I really will have to go see a doctor so it'd be good to actually have one. Cuz I think of the doc just when I get sick or when I twist my ankle like I did yesterday and so yeah.

Also we had a first college group last night. And wow there's a LOT of college group people in our church! I think I counted about 15 people and few weren't even there! So I am looking forward to just have something for our age group. Even if it's just a Bible Study or praying time every other Sunday. It'll just be nice to have a group where you can go to and identify with. So yeah I am excited about that!

Well I better get going! Who ever is reading this blog, also please say a little prayer for Scott's job. He had an interview last week and still hasn't heard back yet so I hope they are just taking time for decision making!

FREE KITCHEN!

Well not free as new or anything like that. So the menu for the Sat is pizza pockets! :D Should be fun and it's a completely made up! Mom got this thing from Tupperware that helps you cut out a circle from rolled dough and then you up the circle of dough on top of it, put the stuff on it (so ketchup and cheese and ham or w/e) and then you fold it and press it and ... you get a pizza pocket! :D

Tansparency

I am an invisible man.... I don't feel 24. 24 is a number for big older people. Adults. And I feel anything but all mature and grown up. I feel... 18. But my birth date says I am 24. Now try to understand. People say you're old as old as you feel you are. So one days i'm 18 other days i am 70 (back ache i tell you!), then there are some days you feel about 40 and like a parent (junior high and babysitting).

For the past few days I've been running into my classmates from primary school. There's a girl that got married like 5 years ago and has two kids already (did I mention she is as old as I am?!) then there's another girl that just got married, other girl that is married and has a one year old, then there's a guy that is just working doing school, a girl that just studies, another girl that I just ran into on the bus yesterday questioning the sanity of everyone who is even in a relationship and then Ursa in America (just kidding Ursa). But it's really so funny to see how each one of us is somewhere else in a process of life. And how even though we went to same school same year we're still all so different. And it's just so interesting how people end up different places. It just makes me think of decisions and acts each one did to get them to a spot where they are today. And all other decisions that will make them be at a certain spot in next 10 or 20 years. It's kinda a "high school reunion" sometimes (though we didnt go to high school together) especially when you run in like 6 people in course of three days. Life can be so interesting and you never know where you'll end up. But that also makes me think of the verses from Jeremiah 29:

For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you," declares the LORD

For those who know Him and will call on Him and follow Him... we'll be right where we're suppose to be in the next 10 or 20 years! How cool's that!!! :D

RAIN!!!! Makes a Perfect Day for Baking!!!

I'm not working today (or have this last 2 weeks and in time of camps, and apparetly am working just this Sun - which just happens to be my bday, and next Sat... blah!So much about saving money since there will be no money, but hey apparetly God thinks rest is important).
And therefore I've been resting (so much my back is hurting), watching movies, watching TV, napping, reading books, talking to Scott and occasionaly hanging out with people. I think this time of "rest" is good to rest, to pray about the coming months and letting God examine my heart since I get a lot of quiet time. I actually really enjoy having this time alone. Cuz I like my time away from people especially after doing two camps back to back which I have not planned. And for miss Interverted this is a great time to rest.

I've been reading "I'm Not Good Enough"...and Other Lies Women Tell Themselves and starting to work on a Bible Study by Beth Moore: Esther: It's Tough Being a Woman Because I LOVE the story of Easther!! It's the great story that every girl wants to hear. It's like a Disney story of redemption and even better written by God! Can't get better than that right!?
Also, I felt a "need" of reading St. Augustine's Confessions after seeing one of my ex college philosophy professors on tv the other day talking about try to guess... Redemtions (and I am wearing Redeem camp tshirt on me - which may I add is AWESOME to wear) anyway, and I guess the professor has been saying very same words I have heard sooo many times at his class. Made me miss theology school... oh well one day, I might roll back in the Poljanska street college.

But enough about books... Today is first official day of rain after many weeks (well the yesterday 5min rain doesn't really count) and I have some baking to do!!!!

I'm not sure what will be fist on the menu but I'd like to make Raspberry Chocolate Chip Muffins and since I am pretty much all out of Brownies boxes (I have one more for special occasions) I need to make one from scratch. So thanks to The Pioneer Woman (and there for Kristi and Trisha) I got a recipe for it... Now I will skip a part of recipe...Salted Caramel doesn't sound too good and I have bad experiences making caramel!

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://nejasdays.blogspot.com/2010/07/rain-makes-perfect-day-for-baking.html' title='RAIN!!!! I had done camps and KRIZ for the past 3 years and so this year I am taking a break. Not really since I'll be working cuz I need money. I need to start saving money for school or better say schools, driver's licence (which costs a ton), then probably for a cheap car and the list goes on. I am not as lucky as most of the people that I know who get or still get money for different things from their parents even though they are over 20 years old. My parents want me to make my own money and take care of myself. So i didn't get money for driver's licence or for school or for a car. And i have to buy myself clothes and the list could go on. Which I am starting to see that there's a lot of people who did get all that, don't understand how I don't have all that. How I am not at the very same stage as they are. But I am proud of the fact that I can work on stuff and do it myself. Which I think it's a good life lesson.
So, I am just trying to figure out what to do with myself this coming year. Get a full time job or work as a student - as long as that'll stll be possible and we'll see what the government decides. But I think next year should be fun year. New stuff, new lessons learned and new things archived. Even though I am slow at archiving my goals. I will get there at some point someday :D I just gotta wait and see what God has in store for me! And hope He's training me up for that!

YAY For My FIRST(ever) Blog Follower!!

I've never had a Blog follower and now I do!!! :D Thanks Meta!!! :D

SURPRISE!!

Monday i've been babysitting Landon, Luke and Caleb and my mom calls me and tells me I got a package from Spokane. From leaders of Valley 4th church college group! And I thought well I guess they don't have Seba and Glori's address and so they probably just sent me stuff for them. So I wasn't in a hurry to go home, thinking oh i'm sure they sent stuff for the Radovljica people. And when I finally got home I had to open the package in order to see who is it for! And when I opened it there were bunch of notes for me!!! And American snacks!! How sweet and thoughtful of them!! Not sure what Scott and Rachael told them but prayers and encouraging notes were sure helpful! It sure made me feel loved and blessed!

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 230px; height: 320px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_9W_jxHyYLU0/S-FrDb4cWTI/AAAAAAAABFY/lSH99yz-Lec/s320/CHEETOS_Crunchy_Cheese_Flavored_Snacks.gif" border="0"alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5467769129372768562" />

So yesterday after not a good start of week (didn't go take exams cuz I wasn't ready for it - but that's ok, I can take it later) Meta came over and we made the snack bite size chocolate chip cookies :D And I decided I'll share cheetos with family and apparently they like em cuz there were barely any left! Now I am NOT obsessed with peanut butter. I like it but not love it. But really since I made my own home made I love it!! My mom always makes "lunch" late (that's around 5pm or later) so I gotta eat something before that. And since our kitchen is mostly a sacred place (especially after breakfast time) it's hard for you to enter that sacred place.

But my grandma's kitchen across the street is less sacred and I can do there pretty much anything. Therefor I have made my peanut butter there and I keep it there (even if that means my grandma eats half of it... that's ok :D I like that she likes few american/canadian things like peanut butter and jello - which she gets a ton from her niece in Toronto area)

Anyway, so if I get hungry in time of lunch (from noon to 2pm) I just put on my Crocks and go across the street to get a piece of bread (or plain albert cookie) and put some peanut butter on and some strawberry jam :D YUUUM! First it was the cold/flu sickness that made me sick for over a month. I went to the States sick and got back sick and stayed sick for another month. Right now my body is feeling sick again. I dunno what's it's problem. My left breast has been swollen for a week now (though today, it is better than it has been previous days, less swollen and it hurts less, so there might be a light at the end of the tunnel). And really my body just gets tired so easily. You'd ask me if I had gone to see my doc right? Well... with the family history of a breast cancer (my grandma had it but battled it through before I was born)... I haven't seen my doctor yet. And the reason for that is that I HAVE NO PERSONAL DOCTOR as I found out on Thursday! I thought my sis doctor was also my doctor, but after coming in they found out I have my doctor in Rakovnik. But this doctor doesn't work there anymore so a new person had to take over the files. Good news? No. Cuz this new doctor only accepts kids to age 19 years. Bummer, I am turning 24 this summer! So I have to find my file somewhere at the community health center in Rakovnik (part of Rudnik area of Ljubljana) and find a doctor who's accepting new patients - that are older than 19 years. Wish me good luck! So I hope and pray that I will have everything figured out by end of Monday, but I think I am being way too optimistic. It would be nice, so that I can go to see a doc by the end of the next week. I'd use some prayers about that!

Also, I finished with 200 free hours of preschool for my schooling. And frankly I am not so excited about the preschool anymore. I think there's way too many kids per just two people. So I should check out a private preschools to see how they do it. I bet it's way nicer! I wanna see the catholic preschool too and just see their curriculum and how they act towards the kids.

Also I am jobless. Not fun for a person who has to pay school tuition every month! UGH. So I need to find a job with this week and pray they will give me a day off on the May 12th when Scott comes to visit for 2 weeks!!! :D Not to mention I CAN'T WAIT to have my sweet boyfriend here again! And just spend as much time with him as possibe in those 2 weeks (so not sure what will happen with job in those two weeks-another thing to pray for!)

School's keeping me pretty busy. I passed some exams, didn't go take few exams and there's still few more that are waiting on me. In May I think there'll be 5 more exams. And there'll be 4 more waiting on me in the next coming months or year.

Also I think I wanna go back to the Theology College. Just cuz its only a three year school now. And I have quite few exams that I had already passed. And then eventually at some point Scott and I will get married. And most likely move to the States - for we'll see how long :D

New Background

:D cute and springy huh? :D

Back in Slovenia

So Meta and I are back from the States. Really I don't have a whole lot to say. It was a great trip. It was soooo good to see friends and just spend time relaxing, away from everyday life. It was good being in a christian environment for about three weeks. Culturally really wasn't that super different and by the third day you got used to it. While coming back seems to be a lot harder. Coming home to the family was ok, minus a big fight the very same that that grandma and mom had. But what was the main shock was people relating... in the States everyone is nice to you etc. While here... it's everything but nice. So, needless to say I was quite shocked Monday morning while doing preschool just by the way my mentor related to everyone and other coworkers. I have to keep a diary of what has been going on in preschool every day and have to turn it in ... now with some mentors you can turn the whole thing in while you're done with 200 hours but mine wants me to do it weekly. And some mentors let you just use normal vocabulary and terminology and my grammar is completely awful... while mine wants me to read like two books on preschool law before doing my two week diary all over again. I think the main problem is that I wrote down that some of the kids have some big behavior issues and that made her super upset. But that's just my guess. So she decided that my whole paper is awful and that I need to change it and make it look as if I am writing a masters degree on it.

Also, today I've been thinking if I am sometimes having a hard time getting a long with people that aren't Christians. I am thinking of people that I worked with at New Yorker and some people that I have worked with at Humanic (though Humanic is way nicer that the rest of the places) and now my mentor and few other people that work at the same place) I wonder if my spirit just feels attacked by them and I just draw back. I feel like my spirit is really sensitive to all that. Just really sensitive to what's going on, how people relate to each other and how people relate to me. So yeah that's just a hard position to be at so I should pray about it hard. But it's just really not a fun spot to be in...

On the other note... I think I'd be really good for me to go to a Bible School at some point... not sure when though since I'd need like $9000 for a year and then some extra money, not to mention a health insurance and other insurances and name it... but Ecola Bible School really looks a lot like fun so maybe one day .... another thing to pray about...

SICK!

Yup I am sitting /layin in my bed being sick... diarrhea, weird sickness in my stomach and I am just soooo cold! WOW! I'm still remember new year 2000. That just proves I am getting old! Back in 2000 I was 13 and it was sooooo freezing outside and lotsa snow. I think I spent it at home most of the time and with my first boyfriend.

2010 I'm going to spend in Bohinj, with Meta, Gasper and Meta's friend Marusa. We're going to make chicken sticky fingers with BBQ sauce and MASHED POTATOES! YUMMY! And top that off with brownies from the box with ice cream (if we'll manage to get some). Good way to start New Years. We will have Activity game with us. Then of course I had to rent Nacho Libre movie (which will make us think of Miso,- wish you were with us!) and few other movies. So I hope this year i'll get some night sleep! I am getting old! I can't be up all night! So good thing they invented sleeping bags! But I'll be missing Scott this year! I guess there's always next year!

Happy New Year!

Anxiety?

I think I have it. I need a new job really bad!! Since I don't get any more from any of my parents or relatives (unlike most of my peers) and need to pay for school tuition, health insurance, cell phone bill, bus pass, and few other things you need to buy every month I get to 0 or even - euros on my account. Not to mention that the trip to the States is coming in 2 months and I have exactly 50 euros on the side for that. YAY right? After talk with my friend I guess I can borrow some money from her and survive the 3 weeks in the States (somehow, still don't know how). But anyway, I will apply for a job at McDonalds. Yes you read that right. MCDONALDS. I know it sounds lame but that's the only actual job I can get that doesn't want you to have years of work experience (unlike some of the secretary jobs you find online for students) and you can pretty much work whenever. I only have time from anytime in the morning to 3pm cuz I have school to go to. So yeah, McDonalds. I need to go to this students servis and apply for it cuz it's a different one that I am at and then get that job (or die). YAY.

I think this is the last year I'm helping with ministry. And am thinking is church really my family? It gets cold so fast! It got SUPER cold in just a night from Monday to Tuesday. And I guess with me, it takes two days before I get really sick. So by Thursday night I was feeling all weird and not quite myself. But really it was Saturday when I was just coughing and sneezing like crazy. I might had a fever too but wouldn't know cuz I never measured it. Well... the reason for all that was... an open window that I forgot to shut! So Saturday, I had school from 8am to 12:45pm. And I worked from 2pm to 9:30pm and then the very next morning as well... from 9am to 3:30pm. So Saturday was a looong hard day. But Sunday I felt a little bit better. I decided not to go to church but just to get rest. And after a 3 hour nap I felt much much much better! :D Today I am still coughing and sneezing a bit but other than that I am fine :D

School officially started on Saturday for me. I got to go in my class and sit there for couple of hours and it wasn't bad at all. We had music theory class. So that was fun, cuz I knew all the stuff we learned. And we had psychology which I also already knew most of it. So nothing new there. Today we have an instrument class (we need to pick between guitar and piano... tho there's just 5 spots open for guitar so I just might have to go with the piano :( oh well) and we have an art class today too! So that should be fun! I haven't really got to meet anyone quite yet. But that's ok.

I need to work in a preschool for about a month as a part of a school this year too. So I figured I'd look online to see if any preschool needs help. I found one that is really close to the school, which would help me with commuting since I'd just have to walk for 5min to get there. So I sent them an email... and it has been a week now and they still haven't replied :( I guess I'll just have to keep looking.

Don't You Just Hate When You Have To Pay So Much!

... for a face lotion!!!

Yesterday, while running bunch of errands with my sister, I had to stop in Muller to! (and if Anna Bee is reading this, I am getting better at not going to Muller every day multiple times!) I have been using Clinique products for few months now and after being a little skeptical at the beginning my skin fell in love with it. They were selling these very practical 100ml pack of a face wash, lotion and creme. For 30 euros! Sounds like a good deal, tho even that seems a little more than what I would usually pay for. This pack was a little travel version of their products but it lasted for a month for me so that was good... good until now because they ran out of it!!! :( And they don't think they'll get any more!! (ever worse!) So, since we got back from the JV Fall Conference I have been living without a face lotion/tonic. First few days were ok... but the past few not so much. My skin started breaking out and nothing seemes to help :( So, today ... I had to make a hard decision. To buy a lotion that costs 33 euros or not. (I just wonder how people can afford the whole big pack if just the lotion costs 33 euros and the other two products about the same!) And i told my sister to go get it. I never thought I'd spend this much on the face lotion. Now my skin better start getting better! (which i think it will!) The good news is that I assume that this lotion should last for about three months (since the travel size is 100ml and this big one is 400ml). And maybe I might even buy the rest of the products. Cuz after all it seems like you pay like 100 euros in the period of three months anyway - if you buy the travel size pack every month for 30 euros, or the big pack for 100 euros every 3 to 4 months! :D

I got into the School!!!

Last few days have been pretty chaotic for me. Well yesterday. I spent morning running around with my sister and doing errands. Mine and her errands. She had to sign in school and didn't know how, she was missing bunch of things so we had an hour to get everything done. That included running from her school to post office to her school to the back and back from school. And lotsa phone calls in between. But we made it and she got to go to work on time and I got to go pay my bills!

Once I got home I decided that I'll look at the school's website to see if there's something new. There was a note saying that there is 74 people applying for 34 free spots in one class. And I wasn't sure which one are they talking about!! So I was SO nervous!!! I had to think of my B plan for schooling and all that. Not good.

Then this morning, I got a call from Humanic. It was my "ex" boss. She wanted to know when can I come work as a student (hmmm... and I have no idea how will I even get the student's status!!) so I said: "sure I can work next Saturday and Sunday" and hoping that that'll be true. And hour later my mom calls for me:"Neja, you got your mail from the school". So I thought... it's all or nothing! So I went downstairs and opened the letter in front of my mom (that's intimidating. Cuz this way she'll find out the truth right away and I won't have time to think of a back up plan for my schooling or just I won't have all information of the plan B yet). When I opened my latter, the first thing I got out was a bill for scholarship!!!!!! They don't just give you a bill in the letter if that doesn't mean you're in! So I got it!!! :D:D:D And I am starting school with the October 15th!!! :D:D:D Should be good! I look forward to it!!!

I look forward to meeting ALL new people!! That's kinda weird thing for me to say since I hate meeting new people. I hate new things. And I hate change. But... over the years I've learned that meeting new people gives me chance to be His light in this word. That through my words and acts and all the rest they'll be a step closer to the Lord!

So my prayer request is: Can you pray for all those new people that will enter my life in this next month? Pray for soft tender hearts! And for me to be a good witness of His. Thanks!!! :D

... stressful life and so many things I can think in so little time

Oh the joys of living in my family. My family is one of the weirdest ones on the planet. If there's not a problem with my brother, me, my sister , name it....it's not a normal day. And my sister has been keeping the nervousness/anger/worry coming quite a lot. She's 20, but right now she acts as if she was 16. Not coming home, not letting us know where is she, not to mention her school. Mom and Dad seriously don't even know what to do with her. So I need to be the one, going all right there's something that needs to be done. Being a some kinda parent/psychologist to my parents while I am eating a cheeseburger and fries. (which I have found out I could live off of fast food. Seriously who invented cooking for 1 person if you can just go grab something really fast? Baking... well that we could talk about... right now I am thinking of making those almond poppy seed muffins... yummy!)

I am also thinking of psychology. The lessons my college professor told us. The family module. I think I just talked to someone about it the other day. I think it was Meta. How acts of one person in the family stir up the whole family. Now my (half) brother gets away with it (lucky him) but I don't. So all this nervousness and stuff is projected on to me. Ahh, that's a lot to deal with, I can handle it but... but I cannot fix it. Even if I try, I get in trouble for it. Tho I have to go ask myself ok "where is the Christ in the midst of this craziness?" I know I am far away from "the perfect" Christian. But still I am a Christian which brings more hope and life than to a non-Christian. That leads me to a whole new chapter that I am thinking of. That makes my heavy breathing a little lighter.
Friends and Church. I think so many times I am the one left out and not cared for. It might be just me thinking this way, but most of the time I am right (I think I am easy to be neglected). Things had changed so much in the last year. People leaving, people coming, people breaking up, people starting to date, people building/buying houses, new camps, new teams, new places and new faces. And I get lost in this whole process. End of Kriz, but what does that mean? What do I do with this? New job, new people, another new job and new nicer people. Where am I and who am I? I have about 3 good friends in whole Slovenia. And 4 in the States. It has been long time ago when I stopped going to Church cuz of the people. Cuz one of the sermon or talks or something that made me think. Lately Church (besides going to the Church to worship the Lord) has been saying Hi to people that I don't really know. And who don't really know me. Some don't even say Hi back to you when you say Hi to them. Don't know your phone number which you had changed back in May. Now what is a Body of Christ again? Aren't they taking care of each other? I know I don't go to people and talk to them about their life. And so I am not surprised when others don't do that with me either. But that almost feels like a mission, a planned thing, something you have to do with a plan not something that comes out of you. I'm becoming more sensitive and protective. I protect myself. My old self. If you won't talk to me I won't talk to you. I think relationships can be a mirror in some way too,how things had changed, how people had changed. I can be really bad at relationships too. I can forget about the person or just don't pick up the phone and call them even though I am thinking of them. I get pulled back in the life of business and all have-to-be-done-today chores. I like good relationships. I don't like planned relationships, which with ministry is sooo easy to do. I think that's one big big problems in the ministry. And I haven't found out how to change that yet. I don't like masks of "my life is perfect" cuz I can read in the eyes and body language that says it is not. I think that's one of the things I am really good at. Better than many people think. And therefor they don't wanna listen to me. Cuz I am not smart enough. I don't have a bachelor in name it. I like simple things. 90% of the time I hate to think. :) My mind can't really take it. That's the reason I hate philosophy. So much brain work. But there will be that 10% of me that will love it... occasionally, every now and then. (like now! I haven't done this much thinking in year prolly hehe)
It's funny to me how some people LOVE attention and I will never ever understand it (or I will). Just look at little kids. They would climb on a triglav and throw themselves off of it just to get the attention. I'm not sure how much attention I needed a child. And i hate attention even now. Ugh... the part where they put you on a chair and everyone faces you and sings you happy bday - that's one of the least comfortable or pleasing days of my life just because of that little part. I will die on my wedding day I think (thinking of Meta's sister getting married today). Or have like 10 people invited hehehe!

Anyway, my mind's about to say enough thinking and scattered rambling mind for today. I need to go read Galatians! Don't really know if I need to be doing that or not, but i need someone tell me: Read Galatians for 4 times and think!" cuz otherwise i'd never do it. I'm a very lazy person too. Trying to deal with this somehow...

A busy day

Lately I think I don't really sleep well during the night. I mean I sleep but I might not be in a deep sleep. Or it's just because I don't really have any work to do (besides read books and think and clean my room). And I should exercise more. Cuz my body's just been feeling weird. I blame it on the weather. And the temperature change...

Anyways, yesterday I got to hang out a little bit with Trisha and Caleb! That was fun!! It's just so funny to see how Caleb LOVES big slides and is not afraid of it at all. And seeing Trish making new friends at the park :)) Wondering what God has in plan there :))

After yummy lunch and talk with Trish I went home to take a little myself which felt SOOO nice!!! And after an hour and a half I was off to go see my new school. Gloria actually (and Metka) went to the same school so that was fun to see! So I head out to the school and found it pretty fast (the road on the map does not look that long!) and I got to look around it a little bit and got familiar with it :)

I also met one of the professors there who's in charge of adults classes. And then we started with the all the things I need to know about my new school. ... And most of those information I already got on their website. I am glad there will be just 16 hours of school a week! :) We also need to take a swimming, skiing, ice skating and rollerblading course. That doesn't sound so bad. And I need to decide what kind of instrument I wanna learn. Piano's nice but it takes a lot of work. Guitar is pretty handy and it's easy to transport.

It seems like I'll have some really interesting classmates this year. There were young and old, some from Ljubljana others from other towns and villages. So I wonder what has all brought them there. And I wonder how will I be liking this year. And the pre-school. Which reminds me... I need to find a JOB at one preschool. ASAP! I mean the nice thing about this school is that the classes don't start till the October 15th! Which means I get to work for 14 days without a problem! :D

Today I have a rest day. It's cloudy and not very nice outside. And that calls for a nice cup of hot tea (wishing I had some hot chocolate at home... the real one, but I don't) and couch (or bed) and a book in hands (or a good movie, which I don't have any, but I guess I could watch Gilmore Girls at 4pm on TV!)

"You can never get a cup of tea large enough or a book long enough to suit me."
- C.S. And I agree! I love brownies with ice cream and this recipe includes ice cream in it :))

You need:

* 14 tablespoons (1 3/4 sticks) unsalted butter
* 46 ounces semisweet chocolate, cut into 1-inch pieces
* 3 large eggs
* 1/2 teaspoon salt
* 1 cup granulated sugar
* 1/2 cup packed light-brown sugar
* 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
* 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
* 4 pints homemade Vanilla Ice Cream, or store-bought

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a 10-by-13-inch pan with parchment paper. Bring a small saucepan of water to a boil, and turn off heat. Combine 12 tablespoons butter and 6 ounces chocolate in a small heatproof bowl; set over saucepan. Let stand, stirring occasionally, until chocolate is melted and smooth.
2. Whisk eggs together in a large bowl; add salt, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla, and stir to combine. Stir in butter-and-chocolate mixture, then fold in flour. Pour the batter into prepared pan, spread evenly, and place in oven to bake until top is shiny, about 20 minutes. Do not overbake: A cake tester should not come out clean.
3. Set the brownie pan on a rack; let it cool completely. Store in an airtight container overnight. The next day, loosen corners of brownie. Lift it from pan, keeping brownie intact. Invert onto a cutting board, and peel off parchment. Trim about 1/4 inch from each edge.
4. Place a fresh piece of parchment in baking pan, allowing excess to stick out over the edges of pan. Return brownie to pan, top side up, and set aside.
5. Meanwhile, working quickly, scoop half of the ice cream into the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment. Beat ice cream until soft and smooth but not melted. Using a rubber spatula, transfer ice cream to brownie pan, and spread, creating an even layer. Place the pan in the freezer to chill. Repeat with remaining 2 pints of ice cream, adding a second layer to brownie, and return pan to freezer. Let chill until very hard, at least 1 hour (chilling overnight produces the best result).
6. When ready to assemble, fill a medium saucepan halfway with water; bring to a boil. Remove from heat. Place remaining chocolate and 2 tablespoons butter in metal bowl; set over water. Using a metal spoon, stir until melted and smooth.
7. Remove pan from freezer. Place a cooling rack over a baking sheet, and set aside. Using edges of parchment paper, lift brownie and ice cream out of pan, and transfer to a cutting board. Working quickly and using a sharp hot knife, trim outside edges to even them, wasting as little of the ice cream and brownie as possible. Use hot knife to cut brownie into twelve 2 1/4-by-4 1/4-inch rectangles, and transfer each rectangle to cooling rack.
8. Remove bowl of chocolate from saucepan, wiping bottom until dry. Fill a 1/2-cup ladle with melted chocolate; carefully ladle chocolate over each bar, working from front to back. Cover as much of the ice cream as you can. Work quickly; do not worry if some ice cream shows. Return rack and baking sheet to freezer. Let stand until chocolate hardens, about 30 minutes. Serve, or store in an airtight container in freezer for up to 1 week.

Mine don't come out as pretty as Martha Stewart's but they taste good! Go to www.marthastewart.com to see a video of making this icecream brownies bars too! :)

New Blog!

Welcome to my new blog!! :D I've decided to open a blog for everyone and at the same time to make a brand new blog. So for all of you who read my old blog, change that bookmark into this one for I will not be using the old one anymore!

Right now I have about a month of "not doing anything" scheduled. This gives me time to get ready for school (with October I pray I will start a one year course to become a preschool helper) then I'd like to go back to Theology! In this month time I am just chillaxing, reading books, writing in my journal, thinking, praying, studying for a CAE (Certificate in Advanced English, that actually makes me believe my English is awful... talking about Sarx/impostor here).

So yeah, that's all for now!

Thanks for stopping by,
Neja
